Net news- Job-searching on the move
Health and safety recruitment specialist Hays has launched an iPhone
application, allowing users to search all available jobs on its new
site. Users can search for roles by location, keyword, salary and job
type, and will be able to view job specifications and then apply
online, all via their iPhone.
The Hays ‘Job Search’ application should be particularly useful for temps and contractors looking for their next role, who might not always have immediate access to a PC. The application simplifies the online application process as candidates only need to upload their CVs once; they will then be able to apply for multiple roles without the need to keep re-submitting their CV.
Tim Cook, managing director of Hays UK & Ireland, remarked: “Candidates are looking for speed and ease in their online job search and the introduction of the iPhone application is one way of addressing these needs. We are already looking for ways to expand and develop the application so that it continues to offer candidates the best possible service – for example, we are currently developing an equivalent app for the Google Android platform.”
