NEBOSH students gather for graduation
NEBOSH students from across the globe recently celebrated their graduation at a ceremony held at Warwick University.
In total, 386 students passed their NEBOSH Diploma (National, International and Environmental) and received their certificates at the ceremony, on 27 June. Graduates travelled from countries such as Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, India, Mauritius, Nigeria, Trinidad and Tobago, and the USA.
The students who achieved the highest marks in the examinations were also presented with special awards at the graduation. Doha Mattar, a safety, health and environment manager at Nestlé, travelled from Egypt to collect her ‘Best Candidate’ award. She said that she owes much of her success to her colleagues and mentors, who have supported her through her studies.
Doha added: “I was both surprised and delighted to learn of this award. Achieving the highest mark has given me a lot of recognition and credibility on a personal and professional level. It has reinforced my trust in my ability to leverage my company’s OH&S performance based on the knowledge I have gained throughout the course of qualification.”€
