Movers and shakers- Experienced safety managers open consultancy

Keith Humphrey, 50, and Lynn Mohan, 56, both left their posts as regional safety managers at corrugated packaging firm SAICA, to form SpringBoard Safety Services. The firm offers a range of tailored H&S services, specialising in behavioural safety and machine safety, which is predominantly aimed at corrugated packaging companies.Since its launch, the firm has already taken on SAICA as a client, as well as several customers in the North East, North West and Midlands regions. Both Humphrey and Mohan have recently qualified as people handling trainers and are now looking to broaden their services into the healthcare sector.Humphrey is relishing his new role, he said: “We both strongly believe in helping companies by providing workable, practical and realistic solutions to safety issues. We don’t see health and safety as a law, but a moral responsibility and care about safety not just in the work place, but in life.”Mohan added: “Recently becoming a grandmother has given me a new lease of life and inspired me to help Keith start up the business – I wish I’d done it 20 years ago now! It’s also great to be working with someone who shares the same work ethic as me.”For more information about the firm visit http://www.springboardsafetyservices.com/
