Movers and shakers – Consultancy consolidates Welsh base
The new offices of Santia Consulting Ltd at Parc Nantgarw were officially opened by the Welsh rugby captain, Matthew Rees, on 12 September.
Santia House is now home to 380 of the health and safety consultancy’s 600-strong UK team, and consolidates staff into a single building. The company also opened a dedicated asbestos testing facility locally.
Chief Executive Officer Jane Hext said the move represents a new era for the company and will allow it to develop the best solutions for its clients and consultants, who are based throughout the UK and internationally.
She added: “Our business has a proud history in Wales and it was important when we started the search for new premises that we remain in Wales, in order to retain our highly qualified staff and continue to support the local economy that has supported us.
Matthew Rees said: “It’s great to see a thriving company like Santia keeping the faith and staying in Wales. During these tough times, when we hear of so many businesses folding, day in and day out, it is important for companies to stay in the area and support the local economy.”
