Ladders in your sights
This is the theme of The LadderBook, a new, free publication from the Ladder Association designed to champion the ladder as an invaluable piece of workplace equipment, and promote safety and best practice in their use.
The 12-page A5 publication is intended to be a handy reference for use in the office or on site. Dispelling many of the myths and misconceptions surrounding the use of ladders and stepladders, it advocates training as the most important tool in helping to reduce falls from height.
Said Don Aers, chair of the Ladder Association: “Demonstration of competence is a key requirement of the current legislation, and successful completion of the Ladder Association training course provides proof of that competence.”
The LadderBook includes a foreword by the HSE, as well as a section directing readers to sources of more information, including the HSE’s Falls from Height website. To download the guide, visit the link below.
