Gas Safety Heroes – celebrating Gas Safety Week 2015
Gas Safety Week is a national safety campaign that aims to raise awareness of gas safety in the UK’s 23 million gas fuelled homes.
Co-ordinated by the Gas Safe Register, the campaign has support from all areas of the gas industry including retailers, manufacturers, consumer bodies and the public.
The campaign, which is running this week (14 – 20 September), encourages thousands of organisations to join the campaign to help raise the profile of the company and to support corporate social responsibility.
In 2014, the campaign reached of 147 million people with 4,321 organisations supporting the week.
Gas Safety Week ran a competition called My Gas Safe Hero, inviting registered engineers to get their family involved and submit a picture of short story to depict their relative or family friend helping to keep the community, or a particular family, gas safe.
The four winning entries below were submitted by children aged 6 – 10, and were transformed into cartoon strips by professional cartoonists.
