Free information- Training – Scam alert on PASMA cards
The A2-size poster explains how to check that the PASMA ID photo cards – which now incorporate a number of unique security features, including a hologram and prismatic logo – are genuine and valid. The poster, which is free in reasonable quantities, also includes a telephone hotline number to report inappropriate or dangerous activity by cardholders, and PASMA promises to investigate every case and withdraw certification and cards if necessary.Issued to candidates who successfully complete the PASMA training course, the cards demonstrate objective proof of competence for staff engaged in the assembly, use, inspection, and dismantling of mobile access towers.PASMA MD, Peter Bennett, said: “Increasingly, where mobile access towers are concerned, the PASMA certificate of competence and associated ID card are specified by name in health and safety handbooks as proof of competence.”He continued: “With some 50,000 cards now issued each year, PASMA is determined to protect the integrity of its card scheme to ensure that tower owners and users can continue to have complete confidence in its credentials.”
