Fleet safety- Pledge to drive safely
Fleet managers are to benefit from a new campaign to help them encourage their company drivers to drive more safely.
Pledge2DriveSafely is the brainchild of road safety charity Brake, which is hosting a series of workshops aimed at helping fleet managers deliver road-safety messages and influence driving behaviour within their own organisations. The workshops take place in various cities around the UK between January and June.
To complement the workshops, the campaign’s dedicated website – www.pledge2drivesafely.org – contains interactive, audio and video content, including interviews with people who have been bereaved by road crashes involving at-work drivers. Managers who have attended the workshops can use the new site to order essential resources, branded with their own company logo, to help them deliver road-safety campaigns to drivers within their organisation.
Brake’s chief executive, Mary Williams OBE, commented: “The Pledge is a simple campaign with simple messages, but with enormous potential to save lives. I urge fleet managers to attend the workshop and to get started with rolling out these fantastic new resources to their drivers.” €
This eBook will guide you through some of the key understandings you need to be able to manage driver safety effectively and, at the end, provide a series of free resources you can access to help you ensure your own driver safety management system is robust, legally compliant and in line with industry-accepted good practice.
