Employers need to offer more ‘green guidance’
Too few workplaces in Britain are offering sufficient advice and training to employees on energy efficiency, recycling and waste management.
This is according to the results of a survey carried out last month by NEBOSH, which found that only 17 per cent of UK employees have received advice or training at work on energy efficiency, and fewer than a quarter (24 per cent) have been given information on recycling and waste management.
Just one in 10 UK workers (11 per cent) said they had received information, guidance, or training at work on ways of looking after the environment.

It’s worth noting that NEBOSH have published the outcome of this study at the same time as launching a new ‘certificate’ level qualification. I’m a bit uncomfortable with the story being reported as if there was no bias.
