Don’t miss the Innovation Trail at Safety & Health Expo

The newest and most innovative products are top of the list of what health and safety professionals want to see at this year’s Safety & Health Expo, the organisers of the event were told.

Members of the profession told organisers, UBM, that above all else they were looking to see the newest and most innovative products launching in the health and safety market.

Following this, Safety & Health Expo have surveyed their exhibitors to discover all the latest health and safety innovations that will be on display or launching at London ExCeL from 16-18 June and has created an innovation trail to allow visitors to navigate all the newest products and services from across the safety and health industry that have launched this year.

Returning for its second year, the Innovation Trail will highlight stands from across the show that have a new product to shout about. Highlights this year include Supertouch®’s new range of Respiratory Protection Equipment (RPE) with a variety of FFP2 and FFP3 masks available in moulded and flat pack form. Fully certified against EN 149:2001+A1:2009, the respirators can be used in a host of work environments requiring RPE including construction, pharmaceutical, agricultural and food processing.

Other wearable innovations come from Impacto; the IMPACTO METGUARD is an extremely durable, lightweight, safety footwear attachment that protects the metatarsal area of the foot. It protects the workers’ upper foot by deflecting and dispersing the impact of falling loads, and has been designed and tested to compliment steel cap footwear. It fits all shoes and boots and is secured with existing laces or straps, it is also CE certified and tested to conform to worldwide safety footwear standards.

Additionally, Ultimate Ear Protection offers a unique alternative to disposable ear plugs, the custom-fit industrial range covers all attenuation levels, offering the user protection from background noise, but with the ability to hear face-to-face conversation. The AudioS also provides the ability to connect into a radio system, allowing crystal clear sound filtered direct into the ear but offering a 31db protection to background noise.

New technology innovations include Elmstone Systems Limited new Mirashare Mobile app – Miresnap. The Incident Reporting app harnesses mobile device features such as geo-location, instant photo capture and one touch sound recording, combining them with the powerful Mirashare suite of applications to produce a fast, simple and effective way of recording incidents and near misses.

Seaward will showcase their new PATMobile app, converting manual PATs into semi-automatic testers complete with test results recording capabilities. The new innovation is specifically designed to support the lightweight PrimeTest 50 and 100 testers for low to mid-volume testing and enables downloaded test results to be kept in formal records, stored for future reference and distributed easily via e-mail – eliminating the manual recording of results and paperwork normally associated with basic PAT testers.

On the training side, Environmental Essentials Ltd has developed an E-learning Refresher Asbestos Awareness Training course which is UKATA certified. This course has been designed to complement previous training and features a comprehensive Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to ensure the training meets the HSE guidelines for providing refresher training and matches the learner’s exact needs.

These new products and services are just a small preview of all you can see on this year’s Innovation Trail at Safety & Health Expo 2015, helping you to easily access the latest developments within safety and health.  Visitors will also be able to speak to leading suppliers that are shaking up the industry with new services along with industry experts on hand to answer any questions and demo their products on their stands.

In addition to the Innovation Trail, Safety & Health Expo is working with the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF), creating the Innovation Zone, located at the end of the trail, hosting a number of innovation pods housing a range of companies who will launch new products at the event.
