So GP’s aren’t sure if the new fit note is having the desired effect?
I wonder if that would be anything to do with GP’s not having changed the way they fill the forms in. They leave the critical part blank and don’t say what tasks the employee IS / is not fit to do.
I’ve lost count of the number of times we’ve had to phone up or send the employee back to the surgery to obtain clarification.
When GP’s can’t even fill simple forms in properly it doesn’t bode well for the future NHS plans!
