Construction group salutes safety stalwarts
Nationwide Platforms’ entrapment solution, the SkySiren, was among the winners at the Construction Health and Safety Group (CHSG) awards.
The SkySiren won the Beaumont Safety Trophy at the ceremony, which took place earlier this month at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in London.
The Beaumont Safety Trophy is awarded to one entrant each year, in recognition of the best new working methods for the prevention of construction industry accidents.
Another winner on the night was Robert Hackett from Ferrovial Agroman, who was awarded the chairman’s special award, in appreciation of his outstanding services to help further the CHSG.
The evening was attended by senior members of the construction industry, as well as representatives from SHP, IOSH and the HSE. Speaking after the event CHSG learning and development director Wendy Emery said: “The annual dinner was a great success and we are pleased that it was attended by so many relevant people in the construction industry.
“CHSG were really pleased with the quality of the award entries and it is always encouraging to see the effort and commitment to safety from suppliers and companies.”€
