Compliance company ensures trainers are up to scratch
All teachers working in the public further-education sector will have to take the course, known by its acronymn of ‘petals’, followed by either the ‘kettles’ (Certificate), or ‘dettols’ (Diploma) within five years. There is, however, no requirement for trainers in the private sector to undertake the courses.Operations director, Brenig Moore, believes that the new City & Guilds qualifications are a positive move in setting an internal benchmark. He commented: “As one of the leading training companies in health and safety qualifications, we have always ensured that our trainers are experts in this area, so we are pleased to offer this new nationally-recognised qualification for our own team.”
