Clive Johnson announced as new President of educational risk charity IIRSM
Clive Johnson was elected as President of the institute for the next two years at its AGM on earlier this month.
Clive, a well-known advocate of the risk profession, was previously Group Head of Health, Safety and Security at property firm Landsec and is now Group Head of Health and Safety for Derwent London PLC.
Clive takes the reins from outgoing President, Andy Hawkes.
Clive said: “A key focus for IIRSM, and myself in particular, during the next two years will be promoting the benefits of diverse workplaces. Teams that encourage diversity in gender, ethnicity, background and age are better equipped to encourage innovation and make informed business decisions.
“We’ll be focusing on education to improve mentoring, communication and leadership skills for everyone, which we believe will lead to more productive and happy workplaces.”
Andy Hawkes, Chief Executive of Cardinus Risk Management, and Ruth Denyer, Director of Risk at ITV, were re-elected as Trustees.
