Arco expands its safety training business
Safety equipment provider Arco has extended its safety management services with the acquisition of ARC Associates UK Ltd.
ARC provides safety, health and environmental training and consultancy, as well as project management and CDM coordination for businesses across the UK. Its existing clients include BAE Systems, Scottish and Southern Energy, Veolia Environmental Services, and NHS Leeds and Borders.
Arco has merged its existing Safety Management Services division with ARC to create ARC Safety Services. The new business offers respiratory advice and training but with an added range of highly training products, including IOSH and NEBOSH accredited courses. In addition to training, Arco customers have access to health, safety and environmental support services via a mix of online interactive resources, face-to-face interventions, telephone and online support, as well as software solutions for a variety of health and safety management issues.
Arco sales and marketing director, Neil Jowsey, revealed the acquisition will not only benefit customers but will create a number of new jobs. He said: “Through the acquisition of ARC and the formation of ARC Safety Services, we strengthen our position within the health and safety sector as a true expert in safety.
“Inevitably, the development of ARC Safety Services will lead to new recruitment opportunities and we are currently conducting a nationwide recruitment campaign, searching for experienced, qualified consultants to join our growing team. We look forward to working with ARC Safety Services to deliver expert advice and services to our customers, helping them to stay safe at work.”
