Access construction safety guidance while on the move
Construction Industry Publications Ltd (CIP) has launched a mobile version of its online Construction Health and Safety Manual to enable users to access health and safety guidance from their mobile, or tablet.
The manual provides subscribers with up-to-date information on legislation, codes of practice and best-practice procedure in the construction industry. CIP says the mobile version features a simplified menu and search facility, plus the ability to download and print sections as PDF files.
Commenting on the latest launch, Martin Roach, lead engineer construction — capital programmes directorate at London Underground, said: “The purpose and main aim of the Construction Health and Safety Manual is to provide companies involved in construction with a useful and pragmatic tool to help them comply with their legal duties and improve the way health and safety issues are managed.
“We are delighted that CIP have made this investment, in order to further develop the manual into a more user-friendly and searchable service, and, as a member of the user group and long-time subscriber to the manual, we see [the new version] as a tool to help manage and improve our health and safety performance.”
Interested parties can take advantage of CIP’s no-obligation free trial. Visit www.cip-bluebook.com for more information.
