Storage specialist gets space to grow

Warehouse safety specialist SESS (Storage Equipment Safety Service Ltd) recently held an official opening ceremony for its new head office premises in Northumberland.
Watched by more than 70 guests, the state-of-the-art building, complete with a purpose-built conference suite, was opened by Roger Williams, CEO of the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA), who commented: “The larger space in the new head office will expand the existing offering, allowing the company to grow and provide more frequent and different training courses to clients, as well as the continuous improvement of the Rack Safety Inspection service, which is the core of the business.
“SESS provide safety training and inspection services to clients across the UK and Europe, so it is very important that they have the most up-to-date facilities.”
Managing director of SESS, Philip Pinel, added: “As part of our expansion plan, it is crucial to keep up to date with developments within the industry, and we can now offer our clients an even better service within the UK and Europe than before.”
Established in 1987, SESS specialises in warehouse safety, with a focus on racking and shelving. The company says its SEMA-qualified inspectors provide a professional service, which concludes with a risk-assessed report detailing the level of damage within the warehouse, a layout drawing and remedial work that needs to be carried out. This, says SESS, ensures the warehouse is safe and fit for purpose, and contributes to the reduction of accidents within the warehouse.
