Storage equipment- Denios storage cabinets and containers
Denios has supplied storage cabinets and containers as part of a major refurbishment of SKF’s aerospace division facility, near Bristol.
A key requirement was for hazardous fluids to be stored externally, away from the risk of spillage and internal pollution. As a result, a Denios WHG 340 galvanised, blue steel oil store was specified. Measuring 2800 x 4095 x 2350mm, the storage unit has a sump capacity of 2000 litres, plus air ventilation and lockable winged doors.
A BMC180 fire-protection cabinet, featuring a fully-welded steel construction, was also installed. The company says the cabinet has 100mm fire-rated insulation, is leak-tested, and has self-closing doors in the event of a fire.
An acid and chemicals store completed the installation. According to the company, this unit consists of a galvanised steel WHG 320 modular container, with a 30mm space between its base and the floor to prevent corrosion, and a reinforced grid for placing drums and containers on.
Denios states that all the units supplied exceed the relevant PPG 26 requirements of the Environment Agency, and its Scottish equivalent SEPA, and have approval from the DIBt German Institute of Construction.
