Manual handling kit- Mecmesin

Force and torque test-equipment specialist Mecmesin offers a manual handling kit, which, it says, is suitable for testing forces associated with using doors, windows, and other building hardware components to ensure they comply with safety regulations and standards.

The kit enables users to quickly and easily test the functionality of all forms of access, says the company — for example, measuring the force required to open unpowered doors, or automatic gates and barriers, or to operate handles, levers and emergency devices, and comply with the DDA and Building Regulations.

If left unmonitored, these elements can pose a danger to users, as they could fail to operate correctly, says Mecmesin. Proper assessment can identify potential hazards and thus allow repairs and alterations to be made before they become critical. Details are at www.mecmesin.com
