Guide – Lifting equipment- It’s a fair COP

The latest edition of “the ideal reference source” for lifting equipment operation, maintenance, training, and purchasing procedures is now available.
The Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Lifting Equipment (COPSULE), published by LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association), is described as “the authoritative guide to safe and legal overhead lifting”. This seventh edition has been extended to cover an even wider range of equipment, including plate clamps, barrel lifters, cranes forks, and magnetic and vacuum lifters.
COPSULE addresses the common causes of lifting and handling accidents, promotes safer working practices, and helps ensure staff comply fully with health and safety legislation, says the LEEA.
COPSULE is only available direct from the LEEA, and costs £90 for members and £146 for non-members. To order, or find out more, visit www.leea.co.uk or call 01480 432801.
