The new CDM Regulations came into force on 6th April and it may be a challenge going forwards to implement all the changes and make sure principal designers are up to speed on their safety knowledge. Back in November 2009, John Anderson acknowledged that health and safety laws in the UK could sometimes be seen as long-winded and complex. He took a look at health and safety in other countries to see how the UK measured up, especially in the construction industry.
