HSE consults on revisions to two ACoPs
The HSE is consulting on changes to two Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs) in order to make it easier for employers to understand their legal obligations and reduce the risks of over-compliance, as recommended by the Lofstedt report.
The two revised ACOPs are:
-
Workplace health, safety and welfare regulations (L24); and
-
Safety in the installation and use of gas systems and appliances (L56)
The revised drafts, which have been developed by the HSE and industry stakeholders, are subject to a 12-week consultation that ends on 30 July 2013.
Consultative documents and draft versions of the revised ACOPs are available at: http://www.hse.gov.uk/consult/live.htm.
