Fire Service’s tips for driving in poor weather conditions

The advice includes:

– Take a few more minutes to clear the windows of your vehicles, not just a small hole on the windscreen;

– Be patient and let the heater warm up and demist the car before setting off on your journey;

– Make sure that your wiper blades are in good condition;

– Use your headllights in rain, snow, fog and mist.

– Consider the needs of other road users, and give them the space they might need should anything go wrong.
