CDM 2015 draft guidance published
CITB have published draft guidance for the long-awaited Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 ahead of the HSE’s official guidance documents. The main changes include:
- An existing member of the design team will take responsibility for co-ordination of the pre-construction phase, replacing the CDM co-ordinator by principal designer.
- There will be more emphasis on the client, as head of the supply chain, to set standards throughout a project.
- Part four of the guidance, the technical standards, remain essentially unchanged from CDM 2007
The documents can be downloaded from the CITB site. The regulations will come into force on 6 April 2015. The HSE are due to publish the official guidance documents later today.
