World Cup winner to speak at IOSH 2016
Rugby World Cup winning coach Sir Clive Woodward will provide a keynote presentation at Institution of Occupational Safety and Health’s (IOSH) annual conference (21 –22 June).
Sir Clive who won the Web Ellis trophy with England in 2003, is also a respected businessman and leader, and his presentation will open the second day of the conference.
Drawing on his experience in business and sport, Sir Clive will share some of the leadership strategies that helped the England team lift the Rugby World Cup in 2003. He will also discuss ‘warrior spirit’ and how to instil it in team members.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to speak at IOSH 2016,” Sir Clive said. “Leadership is key to ensuring safety and health management systems are put in place to ensure that people do not come to harm while they are at work, which in turn can significantly benefit an organisation.”
This year’s conference will include four tracks: how to influence – internally and externally; business risk and resilience incorporating health; innovation across programmes, strategy and technology; and positioning for the future training and skills.
Delegates will have the flexibility to move between sessions within each of these tracks learning from the insights, achievements and experiences of experts from a wide range of sectors, countries and specialisms.
