On course for the New Year
How would you like to start the New Year with a different approach to training? Something that’s completely fresh? If you do, we’ve got just the thing for you — our new Managing safely course.
Managing safely is different. It’s a practical course, which means delegates get to take a ‘hands-on’ approach. They’ll be involved from the start — thinking and trying out different techniques. It’s straightforward and fun too, so they’ll have the confidence and enthusiasm to put their training into practice when they get back to the workplace.
Rob Miguel, from Amicus National Health and Safety, who took part in piloting the course, said: “The structure of the course is much more user-friendly than the old one, and leans heavily towards inclusive learning, encouraging far more delegate participation. The course material is brought to life with new visual effects.”
The new course will help managers and those with health and safety responsibilities understand how to assess and control risk, understand their responsibilities, and identify hazards. It will also help them understand how accidents and incidents are investigated, how health and safety performance is measured, and how to protect the environment.
The new jargon-free Managing safely course includes:
– the full PowerPoint presentation, featuring state-of-the-art animation;
– a delegate workbook with sections for notes and question-and-answer sessions;
– a user-friendly set of trainer notes;
– a risk assessment board game;
– quizzes;
– two DVDs; and
– a bank of assessments using multi-format questions and a risk assessment project.
