Ireland branch- Irish conference focuses on health
The Minister for Labour Affairs, Dara Calleary TD, will be opening this year’s IOSH Ireland Annual Conference.
Taking place at the Radisson Hotel, in Galway, on 23 June, this year’s conference takes the theme ‘Occupational health — the hidden risks’ and aims to draw attention to the need for health and safety professionals to get more involved in the increasingly prominent area of health and well-being. Norita Robinson, IOSH’s Ireland development manager, said: “The Ireland Conference has become a popular fixture in the calendar and gives practitioners the chance to come together and share best practice on current hot issues.
“We know that work-related ill health affects thousands of people each year in Ireland, and that it is an area that health and safety professionals have to get more confident at playing a role in preventing. Our conference aims to arm members with the knowledge and skills to be able to do that.”
The programme for the event is still being finalised, but for more information, or to express your interest in attending, please contact Catherine Daly on +353 1 620 6785.
