Give your views on merger proposals
We need your views on a document that will decide the future of the Health and Safety Commission and Executive (HSC/E).
‘A stronger voice for health and safety’ seeks views on the proposal to merge HSC/E into one non-departmental public body (NDPB), and IOSH has been asked for its comments on the proposals.
Richard Jones, director of technical affairs, said: “This consultation is an important opportunity for members to help steer the future governance of HSC/E. To help us produce a thorough response on behalf of members, we need to know what you feel about the idea of merging the two bodies.
“It’s also an opportunity for you to let HSC/E know what kind of structure and system would help deliver the best accountability and decision making. The results of this consultation could significantly affect the final outcome, which in turn will affect future health and safety policy and delivery. So, let us know your views.”
To help, we will produce an initial draft response which members will be able to look at and suggest amendments to. Or you can give us your views on the consultation document itself.
Visit www.iosh.co.uk/consultationdocuments to view the document and summary. If you wish to see the initial response or send in your comments, please contact [email protected] or call 0116 257 3151. We need your responses by Monday 26 February.
