Get the best
This year’s major campaign, entitled: ‘Get the best’, will bring our members into focus and champion IOSH membership as the health and safety gold standard.
IOSH president Lisa Fowlie explains: “I’m really excited about this campaign, because it gives us a great opportunity to shout about the excellent work members do. IOSH has a great USP — it’s the only chartered body for health and safety professionals — so this year we’re telling business directors and HR managers who recruit or engage health and safety professionals why an IOSH member is the best person for the job.”
We’ll be talking to members, employers and the media about the campaign, and urging them to get the best professional standards, people, and comments when it comes to health and safety at work.
The campaign was announced last month at the IOSH 07 conference and exhibition.
Some highlights to look out for:
– a dedicated campaign microsite for the media and members to use to stay up to date with what’s happening;
– ‘Count me in’ — an online gallery where members can sign up to the campaign and promote their professionalism;
– an advertising campaign targeting senior directors and HR managers;
– IOSH is exhibiting at the CIPD annual conference and exhibition in September; and
– a careers event for members in 2008.
Look out for ‘Count me in’ on the campaign microsite and make sure you’re quick to claim your space in the gallery. We’ll be asking you to agree to our campaign aims and upload a short profile of yourself with a photo. Lisa Fowlie will get the first space, but after that they’re all up for grabs.
The communications team is sending a briefing to all branches about how members can get involved in their area. Contact your branch to find out how — click on www.iosh.co.uk/branches
