Free guides- Strategic guides reissued
IOSH publishes a two-tier range of free technical guidance, designed to support and inform members and motivate and influence health and safety stakeholders.
Two strategic corporate guides looking at environmental management and OSH management systems have recently been reissued.
Making a difference — a basic guide to environmental management for OSH practitioners aims to provide advice and information on environmental management, corporate responsibility and sustainable development. It’s also a support text for IOSH’s environmental management professional development courses, along with Essentials of environmental management by Paul Hyde and Paul Reeve.
Systems in focus — guidance on occupational safety and health management systems aims to provide OSH practitioners, managers, educators, and others with a basic understanding of the role and development of OSH management systems. It includes the key elements of effective systems, as well as a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of OSH management systems. It’s also a support text for IOSH’s safety management and review professional development courses.
