Compensation consultation
If you want to play a part in helping tackle risk aversion, or the idea of a compensation culture in the UK, helping IOSH with its response to a consultation document is a way to do just that.
We want your views on the Department for Constitutional Affairs’ consultation on the law on damages. The consultation looks at specific areas of this law and aims to tackle the perception that a compensation culture is developing which is causing a disproportionate fear of litigation.
Your views are also wanted on the Cabinet Office’s consultation on the Draft Regulatory Enforcement and Sanctions Bill. This Bill aims to implement the Hampton agenda, creating the Local Better Regulation Office (LBRO) and proposing the introduction of an alternative system of civil sanctions.
Please send your responses on either document via e-mail to [email protected] or by calling 0116 257 3151. You can view them at www.iosh.co.uk/consultationdocuments
We need your response to the law on damages consultation by 17 July, and to the Draft Regulatory Enforcement and Sanctions Bill by 1 August.
