Vera is running a programme of events in October to bring the health and safety message to young people in her region. She is inviting local schools to some of her properties for workshops and safety demonstrations.
She believes that this year’s focus on young people offers a great opportunity for health and safety practitioners to have fun with their serious message.
“In previous years, the Trust has managed fairly low-key activities during European Week. But this year we can use our strong links with the education sector to make a real impact on how school kids think about health and safety in a real working environment. And our properties are exciting places to learn about risk.”
Vera will be holding events at Blickling in Norfolk, Sutton Hoo in Suffolk, The Workhouse in Lincolnshire and Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire.
