Tree surgeon left active machine unattended
A tree surgeon has appeared in court for failing to implement a safe system of work, following an incident where one of his employees had his leg pulled into a tree-stump grinder.
Richard Curteis, trading as Aspen Tree Services, and one of his employees, Davyd Dyer, were removing six conifer tree stumps at a property in Bearsted, Maidstone, when the incident took place on 29 September 2010.€
