Utilities and offshore – Pyroban

Pyroban Group displayed the Pyroban powerpack at the SPE Offshore Europe Conference and Exhibition in Aberdeen.
The company says that Pyroban systems eliminate the risk of explosion from hot surfaces, sparks, overspeed and other hazards, with ‘real-life’ application case studies being shown on the stand.
According to Pyroban, the Pyroban Hazardous Area Powerpack is a 4.4 litre unit, which can be used in a range of petroleum and hazardous location application, and has extensive industry uses including wireline, pumps, compressors and hydraulic powerpacks.
Pyroban says the powerpack has a fuel only shutdown on the event of high exhaust gas temperature, high coolant temperature and low oil pressure, and emergency shutdown (fuel and air) in the event of engine overspeed.
