Gas and fire detection – Vortex FP
The Vortex range of multi-channel gas and fire-detection control panels now includes an ATEX-certified Exd Flameproof version, the Vortex FP, says Crowcon.
Capable of monitoring up to 12 gas detectors, the Vortex FP is said to be compatible with smoke/heat and flame detectors. Connection to a range of external alarms and safety devices is possible, says the company, while ‘intrinsically safe’ (IS) safety barriers can be incorporated for use with IS gas, or fire detectors.
Said to be sealed to IP65, the Vortex FP has simple push-button operation and visual status indicators for each channel. The system can also be interrogated, or inhibited without opening the system enclosure, adds Crowcon.
