Fyr Fyter joins PHS Compliance
Workplace service provider PHS Group has acquired fire-protection company Fyr Fyter (UK) Ltd.
The Durham-based fire business will join PHS Compliance, which is a specialist provider for compliance in electricity, gas, fire and power management. PHS hopes the acquisition will further develop the company’s fire safety compliance provision, with specific services for fire prevention, maintenance, testing, containment, means of escape, fire detection and warning.
Commenting on the deal, Fyr Fyter director, Brian Hog, said: “I am pleased to say that the response has been positive, and we are confident that our customers and staff will experience a better standard of service than ever before, as a result of this move. We are looking forward to working with PHS Compliance to ensure a smooth and seamless integration of the business.”
PHS Compliance managing director, Paul Caddick, added: “Fyr Fyter has been built on a commitment to customer care and industry-leading approaches to compliance with the Fire Safety Order and other safety legislation. This very much echoes our own standards of safety excellence and the group’s ethos of the best possible customer service.”
He also pointed out that Fyr Fyter’s mobile workshops can provide the logistics for rapid response to support customers, wherever they may be in the UK.
