Fire detection
Fire systems distributor Dante Fire Security has installed a Notifier fire-detection solution in Liverpool’s Hard Days Night Hotel.
At the heart of the ID 3000-based system is Notifier’s Smart4 multi-criteria fire detector. Described as an intelligent plug-in device, the single integrated unit combines four separate sensing elements. These include CO sensing for monitoring carbon-monoxide products from a fire, infrared sensing for measuring ambient light levels and flame signatures, optical smoke detection, and heat detection.
The detector is said to ignore transient nuisances, such as cigarette smoke in a bedroom, thus reducing the false-alarm rate.
The Beatles-themed boutique hotel is set in a Grade-II listed building in the city’s famous Cavern district, and offers restaurants, conference rooms, and a souvenir shop and gallery featuring ‘Fab Four’ memorabilia.
