Emergency lighting – Hochiki

Hochiki has developed what it says is an environmentally-friendly emergency lighting system incorporating LED and battery technologies.
The system, which has been designed, manufactured and tested in the UK, is based around an emergency lighting control panel with battery back-up.
The FIREscape system luminaires are fully monitored and incorporate a self-test facility to reassure users that the emergency lighting system is fully operational without the need for an individual inspection.
According to Hochiki FIREscape does not need 230 V wiring to individual luminaires; only extra low voltage cabling is required. The company says the system complies with all British and European emergency lighting standards, in particular BS 5266 for the design, manufacture and installation of emergency lighting systems.
Hochiki is introducing the FIREscape emergency lighting range at this year’s Health & Safety North at the Bolton Arena from 9 – 10 October.
