Safety Network Live: Top tips from a Productivity Ninja

Do you ever feel like there aren’t enough hours in the working day? Or are you regularly taking your work home with you?

You are not alone! Health and safety professionals are notoriously time-strapped. As a result, you are probably unable to spend as much time as you would like on the shop floor and your work/life balance may be unbalanced – much to the annoyance of family and friends.

Productivity Ninja Grace Marshall will be hosting a game-changing seminar at Safety Network Live.

To help you make the most of every minute in the day, Grace Marshall – an official Productivity Ninja – will be hosting a game-changing seminar at Safety Network Live. During her 60-minute session at the 3M event, in partnership with SHP, Grace will engage, inspire and equip people to make practical changes to the way that they work.

A key focus of the session will be examining the nine characteristics – including ruthlessness and agility – that will help you to become more productive. Grace, a best-selling author, will be giving tips and advice throughout the seminar, which you can use immediately to implement positive change.

Grace said: “Those planning to attend my session should be prepared to be inspired and challenged, before leaving with a positive new outlook on productivity. With so many distractions and interruptions these days, it can be incredibly difficult to tick off items from to-do lists and this leads to people constantly feeling stressed and concerned about their jobs.

“As a Productivity Ninja, it is my job to give people simple advice on how little changes can make a huge difference to their lives – both at work and at home. We want people to have the ability to work creatively and strategically, rather than reactively.”

Andy Pearson, from science-based technology company 3M, added: “We’re very excited to have a Productivity Ninja at this year’s Safety Network Live and can’t wait to hear her top tips for more efficient ways of working.

“From the close relationships we have with health and safety professionals, we know time is a real issue for them and they are always looking for ways to improve their productivity, which is why Grace will be a perfect addition to the event.

“Hopefully Grace’s advice will enable health and safety managers to make the most of their working day thus improving their work/life balance.”

The event will be taking place at 3M’s headquarters in Bracknell, Berkshire, on Tuesday 27 September 2016 and at Old Trafford, Manchester on Tuesday 4 October.

WORKING HARDER FOR LONGER OR SMARTER THAT IS THE QUESTION I suppose a high profile example is as good as any nevertheless, not limited to celebrities nor management when over-working results in cognitive over-load and decline in performance and productivity exacerbated by prolonged periods on-screen resulting in working longer hours to achieve the same output that should be accomplished in a standard 6 to 8 hour day shift. Little wonder American politicians let alone UK NHS and others who have adopted a 12 hour shift patterns, to cover day and night replacing 3 X 8 hour routine, that so many… Read more »
