Qualifications

NEBOSH to attend global SHE conference

UK-based examination board, NEBOSH, will be attending the global HSE 2018 conference and exhibition in Kuwait on 12–14 February 2018.

This two-day event focuses on driving business excellence through health, safety and environmental culture. It aims to create a safe and sustainable future through business excellence.

Delegates can also find out about the latest products, solutions and services available at the exhibition which runs alongside the conference.

On 12 February, Teresa Budworth, NEBOSH chief executive, will chair a CEO Leadership Panel to discuss: ‘How does HSE culture lead to business excellence?’. She will also participate in that afternoon’s leadership panel debate on: ‘How does process safety management become part of the NexGen DNA?’.

NEBOSH invites any employers, potential students, and training providers to visit Stand A15 to find out more about its qualifications and the benefits they can bring.

New qualification

You can also discover NEBOSH’s brand new qualification for the process industries; the NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management.

Developed in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive, the certificate-level qualification has been designed for high hazard industries where process safety management is critically important.

Budworth said: “Collaborating with the HSE allowed us to combine our ability to deliver strong, credible vocational occupational safety and health qualifications with HSE’s industry-leading knowledge and expertise.

“We piloted the qualification which attracted delegates from global organisations operating in oil and gas, chemicals, utilities and manufacturing industries. We are delighted that ninety four per cent of those who took part would recommend the qualification to a colleague and their employer.”
