Hygienic workstation – Teknomek ergonomic workstation

Stainless-steel hygiene products specialist Teknomek has launched a new multi-purpose ergonomic workstation to help combat employee repetitive motion injuries and musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
Teknomek says the hydraulically-powered worktop can be either manually or electrically adjusted in height from between 700mm and 1000mm to ensure employees are working at the correct height. The company adds that a uniform yet adjustable production line allows employees to move positions without compromising comfort or efficiency.
According to the company, employers who invest in ergonomic workstations can minimise staff absenteeism due to sickness or injury, reduce staff turnover and guard against litigious claims. It adds that they are also demonstrating their commitment to employee diversity by individualising workstations, in turn boosting staff morale and comfort.
The company says the workstation remains hygienic and robust in even the harshest work environments. Add-on accessories include drawer units and retractable waste bins. Manufactured from 304-grade stainless steel, its chromium-oxide self-healing film is said to ensure the surface is hygienic even when damaged. It can also be fitted with an optional polyethylene worktop for extra protection.
