Ergonomics champion honoured
An HSE specialist inspector in human and organisational factors, has won the William Floyd Award for outstanding and innovative contributions to ergonomics and human factors..
Martin Anderson received his award at the EHF Conference Blackpool in April. Martin is a fellow of the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (IEHF).
The award was given for championing human organisational factors both in the HSE and industry, and for designing an ergonomics and human factors microsite (www.hse.gov.uk/humanfactors/index.htm) for the HSE website, which is viewed by thousands of visitors every month.
The site has key topics with case studies, articles and resources.
Martin was also editor of Contemporary Ergonomics & Human Factors 2012 – the proceedings from the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors’ conference.
