Respiratory protection – JSP

JSP, a leading European manufacturer of ‘above the neck’ personal protective equipment, road safety products and spill management and environmental protection products, demonstrated its new PressToCheck P3 filter at the A+A show in Düsseldorf last month.
Checking a protective face mask’s fit every single time it is put on can be tedious and time-consuming, so to get over this problem, JSP says it has come up with the PressToCheck filter, which can be fitted on its Force 8 half mask.
According to JSP, there are three simple steps to using PressToCheck. The first is to put on the mask and pull down the straps so that the mask is secure and comfortable. Next, press the fronts and backs of both filter covers together to expel air from the filters. Finally, inhale. No air should come through the mask. If it does, adjust the mask and repeat, releasing when a firm seal is made.
