Hand protection – expert guide
Safety supplier, Arco, has produced an Expert Guide to Hand Protection, which gives an overview of legislation, EN standards and workplace hazards.
Figures released by HSE showed there to be more than 17,400 handling injuries to employees in 2012/13, and Arco hopes that the guide will help customers select the right hand protection for the job.
Arco’s hand protection range includes cut resistance, manual handling, chemical protection, food handling and welding protection.
The company says it offers independent expert advice on gloves for a variety of applications and can carry out risk assessments and determine specific needs.
The guide is available to download free of charge at www.arco.co.uk/hands
