Flow meters and controllers – MS and MCS series

To overcome the challenges of process control in aggressive environments, Alicat Scientific Inc. has developed the MS and MCS series of mass flow meters and controllers.

The all-stainless steel (316L) construction and FFKM elastomeric materials of the MS and MCS series provide metering and control options for the more common corrosive gases and gas mixes used in caustic process environments, says the company. The units are calibrated for 30 inert gases and a number of corrosive gases that would damage standard equipment, including ammonia, hydrogen sulphide, and sulphur dioxide.

Alicat adds that the MS meters quickly and accurately measure pressure, temperature and volumetric flow in addition to mass flow. The MCS series deliver accurate flow regulation of corrosive gases with the ability to respond to upstream gas-flow changes, attaining and maintaining flow setpoints in less than 100ms.
