First-aid training- Emergency first response
Following a review of first-aid training in the workplace, the HSE has revised its training regime for first-aid provision.
Previously, employers who needed qualified first-aiders in the
workplace had to send staff on a four-day First Aid at Work course, but
now they have a choice, depending on risk assessments, of sending staff
on a three-day First Aid at Work course, or on a new one-day Emergency
First Aid at Work course.
In response to these changes, Emergency First Response has launched its
Emergency First Aid at Work and updated First Aid at Work programmes.
All courses are supported by participant manuals, CD ROMs, and DVDs.
