First-aid groups unite to promote life-saving training
Three of the UK’s leading first-aid providers have partnered with publisher DK to raise awareness about the importance of first aid.
St John Ambulance, St Andrew’s First Aid, and British Red Cross are working with DK to promote First Aid Awareness Week, which will take place on 11-15 April. The organisers hope the initiative will highlight the importance of first-aid training and show that anyone can save a life.
This is the third successive year that the event will be held and this year the focus is on major changes to resuscitation techniques for infants, children and adults. It will also highlight the use of automated external defibrillators.
DK will also launch the ninth edition of its First Aid Manual during the event, which provides step-by-step instructions for a huge range of first-aid procedures and life-saving situations.
