Chemical use in Europe safer thanks to REACH
The REACH regulation has made the use of chemicals in Europe “considerably safer”, according to a European Commission report.
Five years after the regulation’s entry into force there is more readily available information about chemical substances on the market, and better targeted risk-management measures mean that risks from substances registered under REACH have significantly decreased.
