Blended training delivering pass rates equivalent to full classroom course

RRC offers NEBOSH Diploma in the traditional method, but its blended online option offers a flexible alternative.

onlineThe NEBOSH National Diploma is a demanding course, requiring time and commitment to achieve, so it’s no surprise that it takes seven weeks in the classroom to earn the qualification in a traditional format.

RRC provides this option, giving people the chance for a disciplined approach to studying and face-to-face interaction which some prefer, but it also recognises that some organisations can’t feasibly lose their staff for that amount of time.

That’s why, a couple of years ago, it launched an alternative option. The blended learning programme combines three weeks study with online learning.

The carefully considered programme has been structured so that topics which are best taught online are undertaken in the student’s own time and those best suited to the classroom are carried out in workshops.

There is an amount of self-discipline involved to complete the online study before and after workshops, but RRC has acknowledged that it has been a success.

The programme is available in London and Birmingham and is designed to be studied over an 18 month period, meaning only one week out of work every six months.

Tutors are available for access throughout studies through RRC’s online learning platform, along with forums for students to keep in touch and share knowledge and experiences with classmates.

Gary Fallaize, RRC Managing Director, says: “This is a really effective way to achieve your NEBOSH Diploma and balance those work-life pressures. In the time we have been running the programme, it has been delivering pass rates equivalent to the full classroom course.”
