2016 marks the 60th anniversary of the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards. For 60 years the scheme has been recognising and celebrating excellence in safety performance – longer than any other in the industry.
These internationally recognised awards have become the most sought after accolade by organisations from every sector, offering organisations the opportunity to prove their ongoing commitment to raising standards and to celebrate success.

These health and safety awards promote the importance of occupational health and safety. HSE appreciates and commends RoSPA’s work to raise awareness of a sensible and proportionate approach to managing risks in the workplace. HSE

This year’s winners included:
- Winner of the Construction Commercial Industry Sector – Lendlease Construction, Katy Bagnall, health and safety manager
- Winner of the Construction Housebuilding & Property Development Sector – St Edward Homes Ltd, Paul Vallone, Divisional Managing Director
- Winner of the Oil & Gas Industry Sector – Teesside Gas Processing Plant, Linda Johnston, Systems Co-ordinator
- Archangel Award – Andy Townsend
- Winner of the Fleet Safety Technology Trophy – Tristar Worldwide Chauffeur Services Andy Hohne CFO
- Winner of the Occupational Health Trophy – Department for Work and Pensions Jonathan Russell : Director HR Services & Director Health & Safety
